Objective:

At the end of this unit on weather you should:

• Be aware of weather folk sayings and where they come from

• Have an understanding of how weather instruments work

• Have constructed and demonstrated your own weather instrument and collected data using it

• Be aware of the usefulness of weather instruments in weather forecasting

• Gain an awareness of how difficult it is to create a forecast  by attempting to forecast the weather

• Attempt to explain why some weather folk sayings are often fairly accurate and others are not
