Introduction:

In the wonderful series,  "Frog and Toad" by Arnold Lobel, you have met the characters Frog and Toad.  These stories are fantasy, where animal characters take on personalities of people!  They both have human feelings and behaviors.  We know that real frogs and toads are amphibians, which are animals that live in and around water.  Frogs and Toads look similar, but did you know that they are different in many ways?  You will learn about the similarities and differences by researching information on the computer.

The Task:

        * Read one or more Frog and Toad stories by Arnold Lobel

        * Write a story summary with a beginning, a middle and an ending.

        * Research frogs and toads on the internet.

        * Compare frogs and toads, and record your findings on a Venn  diagram.

What You Need to Do:

Story Summary

    1.  Begin by reading one or more Arnold Lobel stories in the Frog and Toad series.  Think about the important events in the beginning, middle and end of the story.

    2.  You will be writing a story summary on the computer.  First you will need to learn how to use a word processing program so you can write your summary.  Begin by doing the "BASIC INPUT" lesson on Learning.com.  To get back to this page, use the back button.  Remember, your username is input and your password is basic.
